Harbor & Pine Clinic

Independent wellness clinic (synthetic) · https://www.example.com · Reviewed 2026-09-18

Overall assurance

71

Serviceable, with preventable risk

Harbor & Pine Clinic is a synthetic example of a capable small-business website that still leaks trust. Visitors can find the practice, but the contact path, certificate hygiene, and local search signals are weaker than the interior design of the pages suggests. None of the findings below came from a live third-party scan of a real business.

Trust & security

64

Certificate and form confidence need work.

Findability

Local signals are incomplete.

Usable, not yet crisp on a phone.

The ask is polite but easy to miss.

The booking form is served over a mixed connection

The public pages use HTTPS, but the appointment request widget still loads an older http resource. A careful visitor, or a modern browser, may hesitate before sending a name and phone number.

Evidence. Synthetic inspection of https://www.example.com/visit found an embedded scheduler still referencing http://www.example.com/widgets/book.

Recommendation. Serve the scheduler exclusively over HTTPS and remove the legacy widget host. Re-test the form on a phone after the change.

For the owner. Ask the site manager to replace the booking embed this week.

The street address does not match across the site

The footer lists Suite 12. The contact page lists Suite 120. Search engines and map listings treat that as two places, which weakens local visibility for a clinic that depends on nearby patients.

Evidence. Footer copy on the synthetic homepage used 18 Harbor Lane, Suite 12. The contact page used Suite 120. Hours were otherwise consistent.

Recommendation. Choose one canonical address, update every page and directory listing, and keep a single source of truth for hours.

For the owner. Confirm the legal suite number, then have one person update every mention.

The homepage photograph is heavier than it needs to be

The hero image is beautiful and slow. On a mid-range phone it arrives after the headline, so the first impression is a blank wood-toned block rather than a calm clinic.

Evidence. The synthetic homepage image was 2.8 MB at 4200px wide with no responsive srcset. First contentful paint on a throttled mobile profile exceeded three seconds.

Recommendation. Export a 1600px WebP version, add a srcset, and keep the wood-and-linen palette without the original camera file.

For the owner. Ask the designer for a compressed hero set, not another reshoot.

The primary request is visually quieter than the photography

Visitors understand the clinic. They do not immediately understand the next step. Request an appointment sits in muted type beneath a large interior photograph, so many people will leave having admired the room rather than booked a visit.

Evidence. On the synthetic homepage, the only high-contrast control in the first screen is a gallery link. The appointment button appears after 1.6 viewport heights on a 390px phone.

Recommendation. Place one unmistakable action in the first screen: Request a visit. Keep secondary links quieter.

For the owner. Approve a stronger button treatment without changing the clinic’s tone of voice.

Body copy on linen backgrounds falls short of contrast

The palette is considered and mostly readable. A few captions and hours sit in light taupe on cream, which is elegant on a desktop and tiring outdoors on a phone.

Evidence. Synthetic color sampling on the hours module produced an estimated 3.4:1 contrast ratio against the cream field.

Recommendation. Darken caption text one step and keep the linen field. Do not flatten the design into pure black and white.

For the owner. Ask for a contrast pass on captions only.

There is no public recovery statement, which is acceptable if private care exists

Patients do not need a public disaster-recovery page. The owner does need to know that backups, certificate renewal, and a rollback path exist. This sample treats that as a private stewardship item rather than a public failing.

Evidence. No public status page was present, which is normal for a clinic of this size. The sample therefore flags the question for the owner, not as a visitor-facing defect.

Recommendation. Keep backups and certificate renewal on a named calendar. SiteAssure would watch this quietly if stewardship is selected later.

For the owner. Confirm that someone already holds a recent backup. Do not publish that fact on the site.
